Delivery Agent uses a series of
GUI dialogs to set up and maintain
program settings and message parameters,
bodies, & attachments. Two of the dialogs
are presented here.
You may also use a text editor to maintain
and/or modify settings & messages.
Each message (body, all the message
parameters for that message, & pointer(s)
to attachments) is stored a separate text
file.
'Use MAPI' will cause the program to make
deliveries via your primary MAPI e-mail client.
This useful when corporate firewalls might
restrict outbound mail from programs other
than your desktop e-mail client.
The program has one command line switch -
the name of a settings file. You can, for
example, group messages related by subject
or server settings into different settings
files. Pass the respective settings files to
the program with different shortcuts or
batch commands to easily handle different
delivery scenarios. You can also have
separate log files for paired for each
settings file. For more creative uses,
you could modify message contents or
settings on the fly using batch files & our
Search and Replace utility.
Here is the content of an example settings
file. The file names listed are messages.
Theses will be listed in the "Select" field on
the main dialog.
