Search and Replace for Windows is an award winning, easy to use text search and replace utility loved by programmers, webmasters, and novice computer users alike. Search and Replace is for Windows NT/2000/XP, Windows 2003, Windows Vista, & Windows 7. 32-bit and x64 versions are available.

Search and Replace looks through multiple files for a string and can also replace it with another string. It can search subdirectories and ZIP files and do case sensitive or insensitive searches. Extensive support for regular expression search & replacements includes operations that span more than one line. Binary search & replace is also available. You can specify multiple include & exclude file masks as well as filters based on file date & size. User control over replacements includes configurable replacement prompts and a visual display of replacements before they are made. An easily understood script editor makes frequent &/or complex multi-step search/replace operations a snap to prepare. The internal context viewer allows you to edit text files. You can also "Touch" files (change time/date stamp). New features include incrementing number replacements, inserting the path & filename in replaced files, and Explorer shell extensions.

If you need to find and replace text, or just find text, this utility is a must have. It is significantly faster than other Windows grep-only utilities and allows replacing for the same price as those programs which offer only grep capabilities.

SETUPSR.EXE (1.5 MB): (32-bit version) Download this to a temporary directory and run 'setupsr.exe'. No files are added to your 'system' subdirectory. To uninstall use the Control Panel 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' function for your operating system and locate Search and Replace. Follow the operating system procedures to uninstall.
SR.ZIP (1.4 MB): 'For 32-bit Windows. UnZIP the archive into the subdirectory of your choice and follow the instructions in the "read.me" text file.
SETUPSR64.EXE (1.7MB): (x64 version for 64-bit Windows) If you are running a 64-bit operating system you should use this version. Download this to a temporary directory and run 'setupsr64.exe' to install. To uninstall use the Control Panel 'Add/Remove Programs' or 'Programs and Features' function for your operating system and locate Search and Replace. Follow the operating system procedures to uninstall.
SR64.ZIP (1.7 MB): (x64 version for 64-bit Windows) If you are running a 64-bit operating system you should use this version. Download this to a temporary directory and UnZIP this into the subdirectory of your choice and follow the instructions in "Install.txt".
