How to determine your Windows operating system version

Most utilities at Funduc Software are available in separate 32-bit and 64-bit (x64) versions. If you are running a 64-bit operating system and if a 64-bit version is available, that version is required. Beginning with Windows 7 the majority of computers in the US are shipping with 64-bit Windows.

Windows XP is no longer officially supported by any of our utilties.

If you do know which operating system you have, follow these steps outlined in this Microsoft FAQ page: How to determine whether a computer is running a 32-bit version or 64-bit version of the Windows operating system.

From that page:

Windows 10 and Windows 8.1

- Select the Start button, then select Settings -> System -> About.

- Open About settings.

- Under Device specifications, see System type.

Windows 7

- Select the Start button Start button icon, right-click Computer, and then select Properties.

- Under System, see the system type.

Alternatively

Another route is to launch Control Panel -> System and Security -> System.

If after following any of the steps above you see '64-bit operating system' indicated then the computer is running 64-bit windows.
